including the names Ausustin and Nestor...

According to baptism records in Trinidad CO, Rafael Romero and Maria Escolastica Aragon had several children in Trinidad:

Vicente b 1888 - more on him in a minute!
Mary Peferina?, b 1~1886 - married ? Gonzales, had a daughter Bonita and another named Delphine - her niece named Mary Bruno (daughter of Santos Romero Bruno) lived with her for a while...
Deluvina, b ~ 1890, married Calletano Pareida and lived in Denver
Santos (on her death records), b ~1892 in Trinidad CO, married William Bruno and was murdered by him in Denver in 1917
Carmillio/Carmilo/Carmine b 1895

Re. Vicente: On Vicente's baptism record it states that Rafael Romero was his father but in 1914, when he got married, he used the name Vicente Sisneros and said that Augustin Sisneros was his father. These notes are in the baptismal records for him in Trinidad. Also in those records it states that he legally changed his name to Sisneros in 1940.

in 1910 I find Augstin Sisneros in Las Animas county with a son named Nestor, but I don't see him around there before that.

We'd love to know the story surrounding this family, including the Romero, Aragon and Sisneros families and how this is all related.

- any information would be a great help!

thanks
juanita

I'm not from Anton Chico but my father and his immediate family were. My fathers name was Andres Sisneros, he had a brother by the name Margarito Sisneros and two sisters by the name Guadalupe and Socorro. My father always took pride in the fact that his family were Spanish not Mexican which when I was small I really didn't know the difference. He would tell me that the name Sisneros came from the sisnes which are actually spelled with a C which means swan. Which I later found out was very true.

I have info back to the 1500's on some branch Familys, if you'd like it. Some back to Spain and some to Belgum but most are from Mexico. The oldest Sisneros I hev is; Jose Gregorio Sisneros born 1779 in Los Enlames, Mexico. Married to Maria Ygnacia Gomez born 1765. I'd love to get more info on decendants and ancestors from these two. Any Photos would be greatly apreciated.
